Gratitude

My exhibition at The Arts Council of Brazos Valley has officially come to an end and what a journey it has been! I am so grateful to have completed my first ever solo exhibition in such a beautiful gallery and for everyone who helped make that happen! Extra special kudos to my son-in-law Stephen for filming the documentary, for nudging me outside my comfort zone to show my work to others, for seeking out and securing the gallery exhibition and locating a great printer to scan my paintings. Also, heartfelt appreciation to my daughter Valarie for being my ‘manager’ - always encouraging me to keep painting when I feel a bit down and out, helping do a multitude of tasks: varnish, touch-up edges, set-up canvases, pour paint thinner, wrap, transport and curate the whole collection. They both set up this website and many other things I am sure I am forgetting. But you get the picture, I couldn’t have done any of this without them.

For those of you who have purchased art online—thank you from the bottom of my heart!! We are working on getting those paintings and prints packaged and shipped to you as we speak! Since I haven’t done this before, I needed just a minute to research and make sure we gather all the correct materials to safely wrap and protect the paintings for shipment.

While my paintings aren’t currently on display, you can still browse and purchase my original artwork as well as prints on this website. We have just scanned four more paintings that will now also be available as prints.

And for those of you who didn’t get a chance to visit The Arts Council of Brazos Valley to see my exhibit, don’t worry! Future galleries and exhibitions are in the works. So stay tuned!!
