Kathyna Hatla is a teacher, a mother, and an award-winning artist. She has been painting with oil on canvas for over 20 years as a paraplegic with the partial use of one hand and continues to produce new and stunning works of art. She only recently made her work public at the encouragement of her children.

Her debut art exhibition was at the Brazos Valley Arts Council gallery on November 19th, 2020, featuring her life’s work and a teaser film for the documentary to come. She has also has had art work displayed at the Degallery Art Gallery in Bryan, Tx. and the Affaire d'art Fine Art Gallery in Galveston.

Kathyna won a 1st place award with Texas Department of Disability Art Contest in September 2021, and a 2nd place in the Degallery International Art Contest in November 2021. These award-winning pieces of fine art are for sale along with her others, and high quality gicleé prints are available for some of her more popular pieces.
